Kiss Flame, I love you!
Yesterday the vet came by to look at Flame. John was very happy to see how well Flame has developed. She's muscular and well behaved. :-) He thinks there's something with her right back leg but hard to say what. He treated her soar back and had to give her some tranquillizer. I felt so bad for her but hopefully she'll get better now. He'll be back in 3 weeks for a check up.
Kiss Flame, I love you!

Sunday we got 4 tons of hay! 1,5 tons for Anki and 2,5 tons for me. It was a lot of hard work and it took us 2 hours to finish. I would never had made it without the help of Mike and his brother. Mike piled it all up beautiful and now I have the most hay out of anyone in the stable :-) It will probably be all gone before 6 months gone by.
Yesterday we went to the satble to take 2 kittens for Ellen and Mårten from Zoi Tattoo. We found two cuties and they named them Buffy and Dracula. Tuesday me and Åsa tried to longe Flame to see how she would move without me on her back. She just wont run in righthand gallop..as soon as we tried to make her run to the right she would freak out and run cross gallop. I decided to call John, the vet since he is coming anyways to see another horse in our stable next week. Just to be sure if there's something wrong with her or not.
Yesterday I rode her around Hagby and she was great! Full of energy and acting a little like a race horse witch is kind of fun :-) Didn't seem to be anything wrong with her at all. Ran like hell up the long slope! Saturday the saddle guy came out to fix the saddle. It was giving Flame little bubbles under the skin. But unfortunate it got worse! Not his fault though..it's an old saddle and it just doesn't fit Flame so I guess it's time to start looking for a new one. Then it was time for a riding lesson with great teacher Åsa! Flamman did ok but as always right side circles not so great. Her back legs moves really bad..Not really limping but something weird. It was a little bit depressing for me so I got melancholic and went to hang out with Flame in her pasture. Later I came back to bring her in and I also hung in her box while she was eating. Gave me some time to think and relax while she was pushing my leg with her muzzle telling me to get off her hay so she could eat it. Sunday I was back at 6am to perform some stable duty together with Mona. After we were done we took a ride. Me on Flame and she on Flame I. In the afternoon I went to Täby Galopp to look at the pretty thoroughbreds. Rainbow over Täby Galopp coming home from work on Friday at 4.30pm Sitting on a stone thinking.. Sitting on her hay thinking.. It is the best view in the world.. Sunrise at the stable at 6.30 am Someone walked by and said, "she's just being a mare.." Our happy cat, Roswell Today when I went to the stable it had just pored down and the path to the pastures was pretty nasty.. but at least Flame didn't roll in the mud today. We went for a nice stroll in the woods and met some of our friends like the thoroughbred mare Trixie and the American Paint mare Sissi. After we got back to the stable Flame got her slightly delayed snack (about 3 hours) and a brand new blanket from Kerstin/Caddy!! THANK YOU KERSTIN!! Yesterday Mike was in a hurry cus he needed to go to Arninge to look for some stuff for his new business. And since we only have one car it's a little bit of a problem. So I said, come with me and help me clean while I ride.. :-) Good deal for me and Flame who got to spend some more time together. For the first time in a very long time she had rolled in the mud and her mane and tail was covered with mud.
The sun was shining and we had a nice little ride around the premises. <3 Flame Yesterday we rode around Hagby with our friends Danne/Charmant and Camilla/Caddy. It was a lot of fun! Flame thought for a minute that she was back on the race track and jumped sideways and started to throw her head up in the air. I held her back gentley and she calmed down put kept pulling through the whole gallop. It was fun though! I think Flame had a lot of fun too!
Sunday I rode Flame in the woods first, then we did some jumping and the some woods again. She did really well. Jumped like she never did anything else. Then Mike and me came back at 3.30pm to bring her in. She was standing by the gate waiting to go.. Saturday I came early to the stable. The weather was great and Flame was in a good mood. I took her for a long walk in the woods and we ended up riding for 80 min. She was so great in the woods! Things that she used to be afraid of don't bother her no more. After spending more then 4 hours with Flame I went to our allotment to dig in the dirt for 2 hours. Then back to the stable 2 more hours! Rode Trasan for the first time ever. She was really sweet and I rode her for 30 min in the woods. Just walking a little. Finally I went home to eat some dinner and later took the train into the city to see how Mike's new studio is coming out. Different view then I'm used to. Arn´t we looking sharp Friday Nigel came by and he put plastic soles on Flame and filled them with silicone.
Saturday we walked around Hagby with Mona on Flamman 1. I don't know if everyones knows but my Flame is Flamman 2 in our stable since there was already a Flamman when we moved in. Anyhow..today, Sunday I took Flame out for a ride and she was super! We trotted and it felt so good I let her gallop a little. She loved it! She started acting a little like back on the racing days and we had so much fun! Makes me so happy when she's feeling good! LOVE YOU FLAME!!! Good bye Flame, see you tomorrow! XOXOXO Mike walking Flame into her box Always time for some grass Pretty Krom Then it happened..Flame got spoked by Krom and jumped. Good thing Nettie didn't notice :-) Nettie, my mother in law and Mike's mom, saying hi to Flame. Pretty brave to hold a thoroughbred when you are afraid of horses.. Netties sister Jean saying hi to Flame..or opposite! I thought I would be riding a lot now that I finally had vacation..but..when you have a horse nothing is written in stone. Flame has been limping and her front, left hoof warm. But the last couple of days at least no more limping. Just a little warm so I've been riding a little. Flame has been in a really good mood lately and that is always nice! |
