So I gave her a nice shower and took her out to eat grass while sitting on her back :-)
She didn't mind it seemed. Once she realized she was allowed to eat grass, that was all she cared about. My sweet, sweet Flame!

Today it was SO hot I just couldn't make Flame work, and truthfully, I didn't wanna ride either.

The plan was to ride in the woods with some friends from the stable but it poured down!! So we decided to go into the riding house. The music was on loud and there was 6 horses including us. Flame's started to freak out! Rearing and bucking! I started to ride dressage so she would forget about being bad and it worked. When I felt it was enough I gave her long rains and she lowered her head and started to walk calmly.. :-) That's my little girl. New back leg protections. Ready to go out in the rain.. Today we went out for a long ride, almost 2 hours. At one point we had to walk on a bridge over the highway! Big trucks passing by under us.. Flame was scared and bounced a little from side to side and I was contemplating getting off but we kept going and she made it. We rode as far as we could and finally we got to a closed gate and we turned around. She was so sweet. We did some galloping in the woods and the weather was perfect. Later at night I came back to take her in to the stable but someone had already took her in. So I grabbed her and took her out for some yummy grass. I let her eat for 30 min and it was 30 min of battery reloading. For me that is :-) Love you so much Flame! Yesterday was a day off and we did some long reining. Flame was so good! I took her for a walk up a road that goes under the highway, we met a tractor and all the time she was really good. I made her trott and she trots really slow and controlled so I can walk behind her. Don't know were she lernt that or she's the smartest horse on earth! :-) So yesterday the saddle guy came and he restuffed Flame's saddle. Since she gained so much muscles lately the saddle was pressing on her spine giving her "bubbles" under the skin that could leed to wors things then bubbles. So I figured it was best to let B-G fix it, even though it's quite a lot of money.. Can't compromise Flame's health. Afterwards I went for a ride and when I took the saddle off there was NO bubbles! :-) I hope it stays that way. This weekend Flame and I had some fun in the paddock jumping a little with our friend Lollo and Flame 1. Yes, we have two Flames in this stable. When we moved in to this stable there was already a horse called Flame so my Flame is No.2. Not only are they both called Flame, they almost look the same! Judge for yourself :-) Flame did pretty good considering how little we've been doing this. I was very pleased with her efforts.
We'll see if we're gonna be ready for next "Pay and jump" in September. That is a goal we hope to achieve but time will tell. Today I figured it was time to get serious and start with some dressage. There was only one small problem. Flame didn't even wanna be in the paddock. She went berserk and jumped around like she would make "House of Pain" proud! After a few rounds she started to get it and the gallop was beautiful! Earlier in the day Mike was at the stable to clean the box and make the food bags and buckets. He went out to hang with Flame and take some photos. Flame got interested in his bag and started to play with it. Maybe we can find a cool horse toy for her to toss around.. |
